Seeking additional Assistance
We have a need for additional Directors and other volunteers to complete our leadership roles. If you know someone who may be interested in wildlife conservation and activism, please contact us at waccamawaudubon11@gmail.com for more information.
We are pleased to announce the addition of two new members to our Board of Director. Karen Moore, a retired Chemistry professor and Clayton Beasley, a student at Coastal Carolina University. Clayton is a member of several science activity groups and our liaison with what we hope to be an official Audubon club at Coastal. |

Big Sit a Big Success
After a break of several years, this year's Big Sit was a Big Success.
We identified 45 species of birds from our single location on the observation platform off the Kerrigian Trail in Huntington Beach State Park and raised over $350 in pledges to help the Park's Shorebird Study programs for local school groups. We plan to continue this event, so mark your calendars NOW for the first weekend of October 2024. And its never too late to help support the Shorebird programs. Any donations made to WAS in the month of October will go help with this project. |
